Greg Dunne

Greg is an Irish national born in Dublin in 1960. He was educated at Trinity College Dublin (BA, 1981) and the University of Durham (MBA, 2001) where he was awarded joint first prize in the Association of Business School’s Postgraduate Student of the Year awards.


He relocated to London in 1986 to pursue a career in investment banking spending over 13 years with the Robert Fleming Group.

Since 2003, he has been an investor in clean energy technology and environmental finance businesses and has played an executive role in several of these.  In these roles, his achievements have included establishing one of the world’s first private sector carbon funds and being part of the financing syndicates for many environmental projects including the largest coal mine methane project in Asia and two of the largest landfill gas projects in Asia and Latin America respectively.

Greg relocated to Chile in 2009 and in 2013 co-founded Celtic Solar Group to develop greenfield solar PV projects.  His other business interests including biogas, transport emissions technology and carbon credits from renewable energy projects.  He is based in Santiago de Chile and speaks English and Spanish.

Sven Gysling

Sven was born in Punta Arenas, Chile in 1980. He relocated to Valparaíso to study electronic civil engineering at Federico Santa Maria University where in addition, he studied for a master in telecommunications and computer systems.


After working for 5 years in software consulting and engineering, he became a partner at iEnergia Group, currently working as project manager and taking responsability for the technical design and delivery of photovoltaic projects. He speaks fluent English and Spanish and he is married with three children.

David Kennedy

David was born in Dublin, Ireland. He is an entrepreneur and engineer with thirteen years of experience in diverse areas of software development, consulting, project management and business development.


Having relocated from Ireland to Chile six years ago, David founded iEnergia and today is responsible for the strategic and commercial direction of the group. David is based in Santiago de Chile, speaks English and Spanish, and is married.

Marcos Miranda

Marcos was born in Temuco, Chile in 1976. He was educated at the University of La Frontera, Temuco where he graduated in Forestry Engineering (BSc. 2003). He was awarded his degree with honours (maximum distinction) and received the award for the best performance in professional courses by the National Forestry Corporation.


At the end of his bachelor studies, he was awarded by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) to join a study year in forestry at The Georg-August University, Göttingen, Germany. He recently continued his studies in the United Kingdom, obtaining the degree of MSc. in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at the University of Birmingham (2009). Between 2010 and 2013 he developed carbon projects for renewable energy, responsible for the regulation and due diligence processes for solar and wind farm projects

Marcos was appointed General Manager of Celtic Solar Group in May 2013 where he has been responsible for origination, negotiation and project assessment and managing the development cycle of the project portfolio. He speaks Spanish, English and German and is married.
